A new album, a new tour and a date in Belgium: James Blunt will perform at Forest National in Brussels on Friday 19 February 2027. His new album 'Airplane Mode' will be released via Atlantic Records on 6 November and will mark the beginning of a new series of concerts.

James Blunt and the Belgian audience know each other well by now. In February 2024, he played to a sold-out ING Arena, and a year later he returned to Forest National with his 'Back To Bedlam 20th Anniversary Tour'. On 19 February 2027, a new chapter will follow – this time with brand-new music in tow.

'Airplane Mode' features the breezy lead single 'Tastes Like Summer', alongside eleven other tracks, each telling a different part of the colourful journey that is life. The accompanying music video, filmed in Ibiza, immediately showcases that quintessential James Blunt mix of romance, humour and just the right amount of self-deprecation. Today, he releases 'Weight Of It All', the album’s second preview: a poignant track about the pressures of modern life.

'Airplane Mode' finds James Blunt clearly back in his element, while continuing to surprise. Most of the album was recorded at Pig Music Studios in Banbury. Blunt says: "Somewhere back there, I lost my way, but found it again in a studio in Banbury.”

For the recordings, he was joined by his regular live band, with whom he has shared the stage for many years. That familiarity and chemistry can also be heard throughout 'Airplane Mode'.

More than twenty years after his international breakthrough, James Blunt has built a repertoire that continues to resonate across generations. His debut album 'Back To Bedlam' produced classics such as 'You’re Beautiful', 'High' and 'Goodbye My Lover'. It was followed by hits including '1973', 'Stay The Night', 'Bonfire Heart', 'OK' and 'Monsters'. Seven studio albums and millions of records sold later, he continues to combine deeply personal music with a live show that is generally far less well-behaved than his best-known ballads might suggest.

In 2027, James Blunt will once again hit the road with his band. On Friday 19 February 2027, he will perform at Forest National in Brussels.
